The August Sunlight Retreat program for survivors is going to be incredible. We are at a peaceful, private location so that survivors can come together and heal. In between sessions with sexual trauma specialist Dr. Shiva Ghaed, sexual assault survivors will be able to experience different proven and innovative services that help combat PTSD. Survivors can enjoy restorative yoga on the lawn with Christiana Donovan, visiting with loving service dogs from Love on a Leash- Central San Diego Chapter, and enjoying healthy cooking demos with health coach and musician Tristan Prettyman and holistic nutritionist Erica Jane, who will share their tips on foods that combat stress, anxiety, depression and Post-Traumatic Stress.

Tristan Prettyman and Erica Jane will be demonstrating healthy cooking tips for rape survivors to combat anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

We will also have volunteers Dr. Landon Amonette, Dr. Rachel Richards, and Dr. Patricia Lotufo providing NET stress reduction in one on one sessions. We will also have sessions with licensed acupuncturists Dr. Catherine Austin and Rhonda Epstein of Acupuncturists Without Borders.

We will also offer Self-Defense as an optional strengthening session, with a meditation alternative, with the clear understanding that many rape victims are incapacitated, drugged, are children, or in otherwise vulnerable positions where self-defense would not apply. Our August retreat is now at capacity and we look forward to welcoming 25 survivors in August. Please sign up to hear about future Sunlight Retreats coming in 2019.
